The Les Halles Market in Avignon is a true gem for anyone who loves fresh, high-quality food. As soon as you step inside, you’re greeted by a vibrant atmosphere filled with the enticing aromas of fresh produce and artisanal goods. The market offers a diverse range of stands where you can find everything from freshly baked artisanal bread to a wide selection of cheeses and meats. The quality is exceptional, and you can really taste the dedication of local artisans in every bite. Fun facts: • Saint Louis, after whom the city of St. Louis, Missouri is named, was also a significant historical figure in France. • The market itself is a reflection of the rich culinary heritage of the region, offering products crafted by passionate local artisans. Whether you’re looking for the perfect ingredients for a home-cooked meal or just want to enjoy the lively atmosphere, this market is a must-visit. The beautiful setup and the variety of options make it a delightful place to explore and cook at home.

AMAZING Food Hall! Definitely worth a visit. Prices are reasonable and lots of choices. The one cheese shop has 250 different cheeses! A butcher had ham with truffles! Everything you could want here and no pressure from vendors. Everyone very nice (even if you don't speak French). There's a restaurant inside that will cook your raw fish purchase for only 5 euros! Highly recommend walking through this place even if for just the experience.

This is a wonderful indoor market famous in Avignon with the fun addition of an outdoor market with various vendors from jewelry, clothes and other interesting crafts. Wanted to buy everything but not possible..worth the walk and got to see more of this lovely ancient walled city .

This is a good market food hall. It just feels a bit tired. Maybe it’s an unfair comment but I was in Sete the other day. There was a vibrancy missing here. Vendors were more interested in themselves rather than customers. Good range of food.

Overpriced tourist trap: buy same quality foodstuff in any market in Provence (I base my opinion upon prices in Arles & Vaison-la-Romaine markets during the same week) for 3-4 times less!
