We came to Relais de l’Entrecôte without a reservation — it’s not possible to book a table here, and I’d heard there’s usually a long queue. But we were lucky — there was no line at all, and we were seated right away. We also got lucky with our waitress — a very kind and friendly woman who immediately made us feel welcome. She asked if it was our first time, and when we said yes, she took a moment to explain the concept: there’s only one main dish — steak and fries — and all we had to do was choose how we’d like our meat cooked. She told us about the famous secret sauce, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. First, we were served a simple yet incredibly tasty salad — fresh lettuce with walnuts and a light, flavorful dressing. Then came the steak and fries, perfectly cooked (medium) and generously served for the three of us. And just when we thought we were done — surprise! — a second serving arrived, just as generous as the first. We were honestly amazed. The steak was tender, full of flavor and cooked exactly how we asked (medium). And for dessert, we had the profiteroles — divine!! I absolutely recommend this place. To be continued…

I love it! The concept is simple: just choose how you want your steak cooked, and they take care of the rest. The green salad with walnuts is a great start, and then comes the star of the show: tender steak, crispy fries, and that secret sauce that’s absolutely addictive. They serve you twice, so you’re usually too full for dessert, which is a sad, because the classic options are really good. The only downside (which is not I gave 5 stars)? The line. It’s always long, but once you’re seated, it’s all smooth and delicious from there.

We waited about 45 minutes to get seated, which wasn’t bad at all given the length of the line. This place is clearly popular for a reason. The food was incredibly tasty. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium), and the fries? Probably the best I’ve ever had. The real surprise was the secret sauce. Something totally outside my comfort zone, but it tied the whole meal together in the most delicious way. Another unexpected bonus: they serve two rounds of the steak and fries, so we ended up too full to try the desserts. Definitely a spot I’d return to the next time we’re in Paris.

It is overall tasty, really great fries but portion was quite small and the first serving was so much better than the second (it was very chewy) so not very consistent. Profiterole itself very tasty but chocolate sauce - not a fan. Also don’t take the most expensive red wine by glass, very acidic. The best queue strategy - come just before 18:00 to guarantee the seating when they open. There are a lot of tables inside but very close to each other. I dont think I would go back.

If you’re looking for a unique and focused dining experience, this restaurant offers just that. The menu features only one main dish: their signature steak served with a special house sauce. The meal begins with a round of fresh green lettuce salad, followed by a first serving of three small but flavorful steak pieces with plenty of crispy fries. Then, without needing to reorder, a second round of steak and fries is served as part of the standard experience. Desserts are available at an additional cost, and typically one dessert is enough to share between two people. The house wine is of good quality and seems to be carefully selected to complement the flavor of the main dish perfectly. Overall, this is a well-balanced and memorable experience, with a minimal menu that focuses on quality and taste.
